Glissando was formed in 2014 by harpist, Damhnait Nic Suibhne. While the number can vary from year to year, the group is currently made up of around 12 harpists. Glissando’s membership is a delightful blend of players from diverse musical backgrounds, with those from strong traditional music styles mixing with players from the realms of classical and pop music. This wide range of experience is reflected in Glissando’s repertoire choice, which includes contemporary and traditional dance music as well as ancient music.
