Formed in September 2017, the Ballincollig Youth Band follows in the footsteps of a strong local band history in association with the Ballincollig Concert Band. The Youth Band rehearses every Wednesday 3.50pm – 5.00pm at Coláiste Choilm, Ballincollig. The members come from across Cork and are mostly secondary school students of wind, brass, and percussion. The Ballincollig Youth Band has played at the University of Limerick, Cork City Hall, and Clonakilty Community College. Their repertoire includes film music, Irish music, and classical music.
